Mackenzie J. Dean
Mackenzie knows that the issues in family law weigh heavily on her client’s emotional and financial wellbeing. Mackenzie’s practice is focused on providing no nonsense, practical, advice to clients. Mackenzie’s clients appreciate being told what they need to hear so that they can move towards resolution. Where clients are at an impasse, Mackenzie is relentless in providing zealous representation that is both professional and persuasive. Mackenzie has successfully represented her client’s interests at the Superior Court of Justice in Ontario and the Ontario Court of Appeal.
She obtained a dual honours degree at the University of Manitoba in English and Political Studies. Mackenzie went on to obtain her Masters in Social Work and Juris Doctor degree at the University of Windsor. After completing her articles with the Ministry of the Attorney General in Toronto, Mackenzie was called to the Bar in 2017. Mackenzie worked at Hughes and Cooper (then Hughes and Bale) in 2017 and was made a Partner in 2023.

Nicole Pettigrew
Nicole was born in Mississauga, Ontario and has called Hamilton home for the past eight years. She graduated from Mohawk College with honours and earned a Paralegal Diploma. Since early 2024, Nicole has been working as a Family Law Clerk for Mackenzie J. Dean. Outside of the office, you’ll find her either spending time with her husband and their tabby cat named Merle, at the ballet studio, hunting for vintage treasures, or getting lost in her endless pile of books.
